Joseph Adam
Joseph Adam has been Cathedral Organist at St. James Cathedral since 1993, and a member of the faculty at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma since 1997. He is also Resident Organist at Benaroya Hall, where he has been performing with the Seattle Symphony for the past ten seasons, and presents an ongoing series of Noon recitals. He performs frequently with Pacific MusicWorks and other area choral and instrumental ensembles. He received First Prize at the 1991 St. Albans International Organ Competition, the most recent American to take top honors in this prestigious competition.
Since then he has concertized widely throughout the United States and Europe, including appearances at Disney Hall in Los Angeles, Chartres Cathedral, St. Thomas Church, Leipzig; Grace Cathedral, San Francisco; and Harvard University.
