Nickolas Newcombe

Nick Newcombe has been the Director of Development for Music of Remembrance since March of 2022. In 2019, he moved from Seattle to San Diego to serve as the Director of Advancement, Annual Fund for the San Diego Symphony Orchestra. Prior to that position, he served for 8 years as Director of Development at the Institute for Systems Biology, the Director of Development at the Alzheimer Association, Washington State Chapter, and at Music of Remembrance from 2008 – 2010. From 1982 – 2006, he lived in New York City where he spent 20 years in the field of social work and was a founder of SeniorBridge, a for-profit, full-service elder and chronic care company. He began his work life as a pit-orchestra harpist for musical theatre productions on and off Broadway.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Music Education and Performance degree from the University of Oregon, a Master of Music Performance degree in Harp from the Manhattan School of Music and a Master of Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work in New York City.

He has been CFRE certified since 2014.
