DAVID TONKONOGUI MEMORIAL AWARD ("DTMA")

David Tonkonogui
(6/4/58 - 10/29/03)
In 2005, Music of Remembrance ("MOR") established the David Tonkonogui Memorial Award in memory of our beloved friend and inspiring colleague, cellist David Tonkonogui. Through this award for young musicians, we recognize the musical and spiritual values that David Tonkonogui expressed through his music and his life.
We are excited to announce that MOR is greatly expanding the DTMA. Having recently received new, generous donations, we are now able to offer two separate scholarships: the Junior DTMA, for middle school and high school students, and the Collegiate DTMA for college/conservatory students. The Junior scholarship, which ranges from $500 to $2,000, is launching in February 2025. The Collegiate scholarship will be a maximum of $3,000 and is planned to launch in the Fall of 2025. Please check this website periodically for updates.
