DAVID TONKONOGUI MEMORIAL AWARD ("DTMA")

David Tonkonogui (6/4/58 - 10/29/03)
In 2005, Music of Remembrance ("MOR") established the David Tonkonogui Memorial Award in memory of our beloved friend and inspiring colleague, cellist David Tonkonogui. Through this award for young musicians, we recognize the musical and spiritual values that David Tonkonogui expressed through his music and his life.
We are excited to announce that MOR has expanded the DTMA. We are now offering two separate scholarships. The Junior DTMA is for middle school and high school students, and the Senior DTMA is for college/conservatory students.
Congratulations to Rachel Jung and Tom Wang, 2025 recipients of the Junior DTMA!
Congratulations to Eliana Cobbs, 2025 recipient of the Senior DTMA!
