Matthew Kocmieroski
PercussionLong Island native Matthew Kocmieroski is principal percussionist with the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra. He regularly performs with the Seattle Symphony and Seattle Opera. He is on the faculty of the Cornish College of the Arts and the Seattle Youth Symphony. He served for ten years as artistic director and percussionist of the New Performance Group and was a founding member of both Taneko and Pacific Rims Percussion Quartet. He appears regularly with the Auburn Symphony and other ensembles locally and throughout the United States. Kocmieroski made his debut with MOR in his performance in Marc Neikrug’s Through Roses (2004). Most recently he performed in J. Engel's The Dybbuk Suite and Pavel Haas' String Quartet No. 2.
