In just a decade, Music of Remembrance has built an international reputation for our commitment to commissioning and programming contemporary American music. MOR's commissioning program creates testimonies for tomorrow from some of today's leading composers.

To date, MOR has commissioned and given premieres of nine works from American composers Jake Heggie, Lori Laitman, Thomas Pasatieri, Paul Schoenfield, Gerard Schwarz, and David Stock.  Our newest commission, a new arrangement of Pictures from the Private Collection of God from Israeli composer Aharon Harlap was premiered in May 2009.
